World War 2 Battles
Battles are a huge part of war and each is different from the next.
1. Organise the following battles into a timeline. Include dates and location, including the duration of each battle.
Battle of Stalingrad The Siege of Tobruk Doolittle Raid Iwo Jima
Battle of Britain Pearl Harbour Battle of the Bulge D-Day
2. Choose one of the battles for which to write a recount (approximately one page). Explain who was involved, when and where the battle took place, and the outcome within your statement of significance (were there any 'winners'?).
It is important to convey the nature of these horrific battles and to do this you must use appropriate descriptive language.
